Pickleball is a relatively new sport in the UK, but is rapidly growing in popularity. It is a game combining elements of tennis, badminton and table tennis, and is played by 2 or 4 people on a court similar to a badminton court, but with a low net. The ball is made of rigid perforated plastic and travels at about 1/3rd the speed of a tennis ball. The bats (paddles) are rather like large table tennis bats.
The rules are simple and the game is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a quick, fast-paced, competitive game for experienced players.
We have our own equipment, and paddles are available for new members to borrow.

We are growing in popularity and have now increased to 3 sessions every Thursday. We play at Hambridge & Westport Community Hall.

We play doubles, and although we are now becoming more competitive - we are a very friendly bunch and laugh a lot!
